Propiedades

Synthroid es un medicamento a base de levotiroxina que se usa para tratar los niveles bajos de hormonas tiroideas y ciertos tipos de bocio. Se puede prescribir para cirugía o como parte de la terapia del cáncer de tiroides, porque es una hormona tiroidea que reemplaza a su propio cuerpo.

Los efectos secundarios de Synthroid pueden incluir:

• leve caída del cabello al inicio del tratamiento (si es necesario, debe informar a su médico);

• aumento o disminución del crecimiento en niños y adolescentes;

• reacciones alérgicas graves, como erupción cutánea, urticaria, boca, cara, labios o lengua hinchados, dificultad para respirar;

• dolor de pecho / abdomen / articulación / pierna;

• aumento de la sudoración;

• cambios en el estado de ánimo, como nerviosismo, irritabilidad, ansiedad;

• debilidad muscular, calambres;

• cambios menstruales;

• cambios en el apetito y / o aumento o pérdida de peso;

• taquicardia;

• calambres, temblor;

• vómitos, diarrea;

• fiebredolor de cabeza.

Para reducir el riesgo de efectos secundarios, su médico debe recetarle un tratamiento con Synthroid si:

• está embarazada, amamantando o planea tener un bebé;

• es alérgico o hipersensible a la levotiroxina o a cualquier otra sustancia;

• recientemente tuvo un ataque al corazón o una cirugía, o planea someterse a una cirugía;

• sufre de diabetes, niveles altos de hormonas tiroideas, hipertensión, cardiovasculares / glándulas suprarrenales / huesos / sangre / fertilidad / pituitaria / absorción de nutrientes o problemas para tragar o tener antecedentes.

• Está tomando medicamentos recetados o no recetados, multivitaminas o suplementos, incluidos medicamentos para la depresión, diabetes, acidez estomacal, cáncer, infecciones, asma, congestión nasal, convulsiones, dolor, hepatitis, terapia de reemplazo hormonal, tiroides / sangre / cardiovascular / psique / estado de ánimo o control de la natalidad;

• Su dieta diaria incluye harina de soia, nueces, fibra dietética o harina de semilla de algodón.

Su médico debe saber que está tomando Synthroid si recibe atención dental médica (de emergencia) o cirugía durante un tratamiento con Synthroid .
